cigarettes were $5.75 here ($3.83 US) before the new cigarette tax.. now they are around $8.50 (5.67US)

and you guys have to pay 7 now? ouch! ($10.50 canadian)

luckily i dont smoke :) but for those that smoke a pack a day or so.. feel for u

i live in nyc and returned from Aruba the day before the $7 per pack law went into effect. goddamn am i lucky i bought them 35 cartons in aruba duty free shops for around $10 a carton. <phew>
