The Difference Between Football And Soccer
 

I've been watching some of the NFL games and noticed how the fans normally celebrate a touchdown etc with some high fives, some 'whoop' noises, and some clapping.

Here's how we celebrate. Baring in mind this was just for a goal to make it 1 - 0 in the game.

I can't watch a whole american football game because it's so boring for me. Sometimes soccer is boring too (especially our national team's game), but I'm sure you can find boring football matches too.

You serious? You don't see the point of football, but you watch AFL? Essentially, both sports are about 2 teams trying to go in opposite directions to score goals. I can understand not enjoying football, but saying it's pointless when you're a fan of a sport with the same objective is bizarre.

I don't like AFL, but I wouldn't call it pointless. Well, no less pointless than any other sporting pursuit.

I like the way soccer matches don't get interupted every minute. I also think that a lot of the soccer enthusiasm is a lot like blind passion. Even the worst teams have their loyal fans. I've never heard of a fan switching to another favourite team.
