until they can do everything that a conventional petrol/diesel car does without any significant drawbacks they wont take off.. and with a price tag like that!

Fresh 10-10-2006 12:43 PM

looks pretty cool. they said it could go head to head with a porsche or farrari. Sounds interesting

OG LennyT 10-10-2006 12:48 PM

scotty2hotty1111 10-10-2006 12:56 PM

cool looking car. price seems a little high though but with a lower price tag they should be in high demand

True! In time the prices will come down!

UniversalPassLorence 10-10-2006 03:32 PM

I like the car. The momentum is towards the electric cars in the future as an alternative :thumbsup

DaddyHalbucks 10-10-2006 03:53 PM

$100k in the US translates to around $300k here in Brazil.

I guess I'll pass....

reynold 10-10-2006 06:07 PM

I'll be damn proud to have that one! Unfortunately, I don't have that $100K yet.

There was a show about 2 weeks ago on discovery I think, they presented an electric car (fancy sports car), they're making it in Monte Carlo, it has a 300km or so economy on one charge, and they said although it cannot go over 170km/h, the acceleration is unbeatable since it has huge torque even at low low rpms.. They didn't mention the pricetag :pimp but they did show Roger Moore buying one for his wife

marketsmart 10-10-2006 06:35 PM

good things that they are doing :thumbsup

gecko 10-10-2006 07:26 PM

I won't either; especially if I don't have the money.

beemk 10-11-2006 12:54 AM

hmm, 100k for a car that looks like a honda and just saves me about $50 a week in gas. i think ill pass. the insurance you would pay extra for a 100k car would be way more than the $50 a week you would save.

Not bad at all. Now all they need to do is produce about 10 million more of those to drive the TCO down to reasonable levels...
