Is it just me? I would not post my minor children on an Adult Webmaster board. My four children are all adults and I would not post them on an Adult Webmaster board.

mariuz 07-01-2002 01:10 PM

I to think it is pretty lame to be posting your childs faces on porno boards.

kmanrox 07-01-2002 01:15 PM

mauriz, you're a putz

im a daddy too, 2 girls, 6 and 4......

MagicksAntics 07-01-2002 01:15 PM

hmmm true...they are just so goddamned cute that bragging starts immediately.

I'm still interested in knowing who here has children and how much time do you get to spend with them while in this biz...

Any answers for that one?

They're girls, so they should be safe...just beware if you have any little asian boys running around, though...

As I have stated my children are adults, but in answer to your question; I would think you would spend as much time as you care to allot, and when it comes to children it should be alot of time.

RRRED 07-01-2002 01:20 PM

Well I have two. I almost was down to one due to the desire to choke him half to death at his 12th birthday slumber party this weekend. I'm feeling so old :(

Time spent with them is a challenge for sure but that's what's nice about working on the internet. I'm lucky enough to not work in the offices so my hours are flexible.

RW316 07-01-2002 01:21 PM

i am not a parent.. but u should have a poll.. parent or not a parent

Summer vacations with the kids ROCK. We will be taking ours to either 6 Flags or DisneyLand before school starts. My oldest is jonesing for Jamaica, but I'm drawing the line there LOL

howard 07-01-2002 01:31 PM

Nothing better in life than kids. I got 2. 11 year old boy and a 8 year old girl. Divorced for 5 years but I have a unique situation with my x where i get my kids almost every day. I probably hug and kiss and say I love you 20 times a day to each and they do the same. My kids are my best friends and there so much better than I ever was.

Never had a sister and only a pain in the ass jewish mom. Having a girl is just the best experience in the world. Looking at her there just has to be angels. There is nothing like the daddy, daughter relationship.

I'm almost 40, divorced twice and i have to admit I just can't imagine life without them.

LOL, I've got it made... my kids like camping at the beach, and that's even local for us. Disneyland is a must, too, though. Thankfully they don't like thrill rides too much, cuz I don't either, so no Magic Mountain for me thank god. lol

Lane 07-01-2002 01:42 PM

i have little cousins, i like playing with them sometimes.. its really fun, especially if they're smart.. 5 year old one loves telling about his games that he plays with his little gameboy advance.. the other 9 year old one just keeps asking me questions about computers and he also wants to learn html and stuff.. and there is a 4 year old one that loves doing acrobatic moves, keeps climbing on top of me and asks me to spin him in the air and stuff like that...

sometimes i imagine having kids like that, but then i think its a big responsibilty... first of all i'm too young for it, and secondly i would wanna have a perfect mom for my kids if i had any...
it is gonna take a while until i get there..

TFCash 07-01-2002 01:54 PM

3 little one's running around our house, 2 girls 5 & 6, and their baby brother which will be 3 months on the 9th :) I just turned 34 myself in June, and I have to say that my kids are truly my inspiration and drive. Before we had kids we did a lot of traveling and spent more money than we should have on shit that didn't really compare with the smiles and "I love you daddy" that I now get. I also work from home, and I spend most of the day with them, a lot of my work time comes after they head to bed at 9 and before they get up, combine that with my palm phone and I can do just about anything from anywhere that I need to :) I hope that everyone here on the board remembers to take the time to really appreciate the short time that we have with our kids. It seems like just yesterday that my first one was born, now she's starting 1st grade, and before I know it she will be heading off to college. So make sure and take an hour or two out of that busy day and spend it with your kids!!!

MagicksAntics 07-01-2002 02:00 PM

I hear a lot from people that don't have children that they don't want to have kids because they are afraid that kids will "slow them down"....true, they slow you down in some ways, but the first time that your little girl climbs up in your lap in the morning before you have ever brushed your hair or teeth, still looking like absolute dogshit and she looks up at you and says "You're the prettiest Mommy in the whole world!" and you realize that she means it...that's when you realize that you don't miss all that other bullshit anyway.

Of course then ten years later the same kid may look at you and tells you to fuck off...LOL but by then they are almost out of the house anyway :winkwink:

:)

this is the worst thing you can do to your parents.. i still love my mom and i have no problem at all when she comes to visit me and acts like i'm still her little baby.. i dont feel ashamed when she hugs me or kisses me in the public..

well, maybe it's because she has been a really good mom, or maybe its just i come from a different culture...

I agree...I went through a rebellious stage when I was a teenager, and it's one of the things I most regret. Even though now we are really close and I have the ability to help them out with a lot of things, you can't take back the things you said.

Thankfully I have very understanding parents :winkwink:

Beastiepoo 07-01-2002 02:45 PM

No kids yet, but one on the way. Due on Jan 30, 2003.

salsbury 07-01-2002 02:55 PM

soon as my debt is paid off, i'll start saving for the vasectomy. kids would indeed slow me down. they're expensive, too. i cannot see a plus side to having kids, especially these days when looking at your kid wrong can get them taken away. who'd want to go through that?

Congrats Beastiepoo...and thanks for biting my head off on the Guage-related thread :winkwink:

I have an 11 year old son, daughter 7 and son 6 (both adopted) and a son who is minus 3 - 6 weeks, depending on how long my wife goes. She's not due until August 16th but she dropped last week...so we'll see! And I'm only 33...what the hell have I been thinking?!?

Two boys... one will be 18 on the 4th, the other will be 15 on the 15th. I'm in the boat with RRRED..there are days I'm close to being down by one. As far as kids slowing you down...if anything mine have kept me going. If I didn't have them around, I'd be more of a hermit than I already am.

I got my 3 children -

Nikiah - 5 months old
Coleton - 4 years old
Daymen - 10 years old

I'm only 28 years old, I feel like an old man, ha ha ha.

drunkmonkey 07-01-2002 07:09 PM

I have a 9 year old girl (just turned nine Saturday). I never thought that I would have kids when I was younger. Then again, I never thought I would live past 30 either :)

As far as not wanting kids because of the fear that it might slow you down, there is nothing farther from the truth. It might slow you down from wasting your life and money away but that is it. Having kids MAKES you move forward. Every day that I wake up and see her lovely face, every day that she gives me a hug, every day that she draws me a picture, or comes crying to me because she knows I will fix [enter anything here], MAKES me work my butt off because I want her to have the best life that any child has ever had.

I could not imagine life without her.

BlingBling 07-01-2002 07:10 PM

I have 2 goldfish, does that count?

BlingBling 07-01-2002 07:12 PM

Va2k 07-01-2002 07:42 PM

my lil princess is 15. i'm beginning to think that the pod people switched her sometime a while back. she hates the telephone, think boys are boring and still speaks to me with respect. that's not normal for a teen.

nevetheless, she's the most wonderful person i know. my life is better because she's in it. i'm going to be so lost when she moves off to live her big girl life.

it's fine though. i have plans. i've already started on becoming the neighborhood crazy lady. i've got three cats and three fish. now all i need is a few more cats and some jelly jars to drink my whiskey sours from and i'll be set!

Cheshire 07-01-2002 07:46 PM

i'll move in when she leaves :)

LOL I am the Momma :winkwink: Yes, we both work in the industry...my husband is Bob, AKA "ToyZilla", and is the Director of Marketing at Insite Adult. I'm known better as "Magick" and am the Director of Resource Management, also at Insite Adult. We go to practically all of the conventions, so if you go to any of them I'm sure we'll meet, if we haven't already.
