how to get more hits from Google !!!
 

Hi all -

Just a friendly reminder that google is going to be spidering in a few days, and maybe a tip that you can use to increase your SE hits and make a few more $$'s :Graucho

Now is the time to go into your raw log files and find those 404 & 302 redirect files that were being hit by googlebot last month. As an example here is one that we pulled from stats, we have a custom 404 set for every domain, so these show up as 302 page redirects as opposed to 404's.

So as you can see there are 8 pages that google thinks should be there, but isn't really there :( So now we either go install a page at that location and use it as a jumping point to our traffic hub, or plugin a generic gallery that is setup to sell a membership. I personally use a product call Kloakit that allows me to feed pages to the SE spiders that are created to get higher SE listing, and to feed the sales page to the customer when they hit the page.

Remember that google likes to find new pages and new domains from links on pages that it already has in it's database, so make sure and add any new pages or domains that you have created that aren't in google to these new found traffic pages so that next month they might get included :) I normally try to add 6 to 10 new links each month, I have a single file that all my domains can pull from, so each month I only have to make the changes to one file. I use php to include that file on the pages, you could also use SSI to do the same thing.

Another place to draw traffic from is the old TGP galleries that we submitted over 6 months ago, here is a sample of the pages google hit last month that are old pages that we can retrofit to bump up the sales from them.

So here again is 12 new traffic pages that are already being spidered by google that I just need to slip in the kloakit script and away I go adding new pages to the SE that help get better listings and more sales :) You could also just bump up the sales pitch on these galleries without going to too much trouble, maybe setting up an html wrap around the pic with text links, I'd also pull any links off the site that go to tgp's at this point, after 6 months they aren't sending these pages any traffic any longer so there is no need to give the newbie SE surfer a free peek at all the free porn out there, when we really want them to buy a membership from us :Graucho

how often does google refresh its links? i noticed last week my SE hits from google more than doubled

Usually every 4-6 weeks.

... that spider is going nuts at my sites ... I have something like 450.000 accesses / month ... looks like I should look at my logs a little better ...
