Holy fuck Wikipedia updates fast

I've read at least 5 articles on Wikipedia within the last hour that list North Korea as a now nuclear state due to the test tonight. These people must hear news and rush to be the first to update.

What an amazing resource.

2HousePlague 10-08-2006 10:16 PM

martinsc 10-08-2006 10:41 PM

GrouchyAdmin 10-08-2006 10:43 PM

Wikipedia is a great place to get unfound knowledge and insight into what a person likes to eat, and how they rape babies.

However, you can't cite anything, so even it's "facts" that jive with known data are pretty fucking worthless. ED good, WP baaad.

reynold 10-08-2006 11:28 PM

Availability of up-to-date infos is what I really like about this site.

minusonebit 10-08-2006 11:30 PM

The great thing about Wikipedia is that anyone can edit it. But the biggest problem with Wikipedia is that anyone can edit it.

it's also the main reason why they are where they're at today.

It's a great tool to use to win an argument.
All you do is change the 'facts' to support you.

By the time it gets repaired, you've won your argument ;)

gooddomains 10-09-2006 02:56 AM

Wiggles 10-09-2006 04:23 AM

i love finding stuff they've missed :)

Gillespie 10-09-2006 04:45 AM

What's really interesting is the discussion that goes on behind any given article. Sometimes, I find it more informative than the article itself.

Yeah, I read those on a number of subjects and find them interesting. On some of the sociology topics the debates have been better than my university text books.

Some people say it is not accurate information, because people send to the site the information thay have about the term.
