I watched the movie Jarhead last night.
 

I hadn't seen it till last night, I had nightmares about it.:( I don't understand why but oh well I thought it was a really good movie till I kept waking up.

Yea I watched it on Cinamax also.

Yeah thought it was a good movie, not too heavy handed. What is a soldier if he can't be a soldier when he thinks he's supposed to be one; was what I thought about afterwards.

It was ok, but somehow Jake Gyllenhaal does not fit as soldier. And without spoil it, the end was a cliche.

I thought they did they captured reality of a Marines daily life pretty accuratly.

Lots of memories were kicked out from the back of my head...

my brother was a marine we bolth watched it when it came out... its the only movie he really sat through an didnt say much but we watch it alot though gooooddd movie!!

I knew some kids that went to Kuwait for Desert Shield/Desert Storm, and it surprised me how accurate the movie was when compared to what I had been told.

Case in point, when they put on the video of the Deer Hunter and the chick had spliced in her fucking a neighbor. One of my friends told me they had received a video of a Super Bowl game, and his wife did the same thing, only waited until the half time show to splice in her blowing some guy.

The Marine went and shot himself.

it was decent, plenty of better war movies out there though.
