when you click the thread the bold goes away

bold means someone it is a new thread or that someone has replied since your last visit

No not afraid of change. Unnecessary change, different story.

Books use the other style for a reason .... easiest to read. Easiest on your eyes.

When using 2 monitors and viewing at an angle rather than straight ahead it tends to blur. What's the advantage? Everyone uses it? Bad reason. :2 cents:
