Who takes martial arts?
I started taking class today.

Five times over the course of four days a week. Competing at Grappler's Quest this Saturday too. Since I'm a gigantic pussy, I believe I will get my butt whooped again but it's fun to try.

what kind? i used to take tae kwon do, but that is bullshit, just a sport not a real fighting system

I did from 1971 to 1980. Gosoku Ryu. Tak Kubota.

I did taekwondo a couple of years back.. did it for 4 years actually.

There are two different styles of taekwondo;
ITF = karate like with patterns of kicks and punches and no hitting each other, just marking.

WTF = This is the real deal, you've got protection and when in a competition you can kick and punch your opponent pretty much how hard you want. Pretty harsh.

Although I never trained it I think kick boxing or muai thai is the BEST training anyone can get.
