actualy, my dad bought me a computer when i was six. 12 yrs later i bought comps for almost all my family members in a very short period of time.. some yrs later i live at my own w/ gf, and now my *whole* family addicted to the net :)

I was born and raised a poor white child. I earned what I have and send money home to help my mom :thumbsup

My dad has got the money money, but I wont touch it, therefore I am on my own in this bis.

bought my own computer I worked in an office for 2 months, bought my own domains, but my own hosting, bought my own traffic, been going from strength to strength :)

Pretty much ever since I was 16 (when I started working) I never used my parents money any more.

started from absolutely $0 and 12k in credit card debt

lived wit my moms n she had a good job but she died when i was 15, moved in wit broke ass daddy..... ive been a webmaster since i was 16, im 18 now making my living off it, aint nothin much though, im still a student of the game with dreams to make that cream :thumbsup

I've been on my own since 16 ... had some really hard times but everything happens for a reason. I credit a lot of my success to my wife .. I'm with her 11 years and her and my sons really keep me focused and motivated ..

Fuck Ill admit it, my parents have money, but they tought me a the value of a dollar. I got into a fist fight with my step dad 3 weeks after I turned 16 because I didnt have a job yet. (even though I was delivering papers back when I was 13). My credit sucked for a while and they would co-sign on loans for me just so I wasnt paying 20% interest on it. Will they invest in my online stuff no, but they still have no problem helping me out if I need something on the homefront, as long as I pay them back

So I am a bit selfmade and a bit daddy's money and I have no problem with that. I just want to make it far enough so I can take care of them the best I can when it reaches that point where they cant care for themselves

I moved to California on my own at age 20 with $2K I had saved up.

My father always did well, and I was fortunate to grow up in a nice upper middle class lifestyle, but I never had anything handed to me and have always worked hard for my own money since I was a little kid with a newspaper route.

I really can't stand people that get everything handed to them without any effort or work on their part. And I think it totally screws up your kids if you do that to them.

Everyone should work, experience their own successes and failures in business, and build their wealth without a free ride.
