Anyone heard from Marvin of AdultCreation.com????
I wont get into the details....
But Marvin and I teamed up on a project and because of what happend Marvin was going to refund part of what we paid him. From that day forward he fell off the face of the earth...Won't respond to ICQ's, Emails, etc. If anyone speaks to him, could you please send him to this thread? Thank you in advance! ......I just wanted to add that this is way out of character for Marvin. He's usually a really kick ass logo designer :thumbsup ...I hope he hasn't gone to the dark side :Oh crap |
I will get popcorn started.........

No need for popcorn. First of all Mike, make another post in this thread and I will get popcorn started myself about YOU (hint, "last year") ok. I don't give 2 shits.
But I am going to be polite now though, and I have e-mailed you instead of posting this on the boards, for now at least. |

And this will be my last respond to this thread, because this is a very private matter actually, and even though I don't like Mike anymore, I will respect his privacy.

I dont want to discuss the current matter. I'm hoping to handle it privately. In regards to the issue from a year go that Marvin has brought up...I feel the need to explain since its being made into something more than it was imho...
Bluewire was hiring Marvin to work remotely at a logo designer. We had an employment contract that was fairly standard under Washington State Law. The contract had an out clause for Bluewire. The board of directors at the time voted to cancel Marvin's contract after his first month of employment for reasons that are private to that board of directors. Soley because of ME, we gave Marvin his 2nd month salary and did not require for him to report for work (paid leave), we returned his domain to him (adultcreation.com) free of charge for which we had purchased as part of his employment, and released Marvin of his commitment to have his msg board sigs point to bluewire. That was the full situation; nothing more...nothing less. Marvin was paid for more time than he actually worked. I don't think its fair for it to be left to assumption that we screwed over Marvin and owed him any money. It was quite the contrary. I would also like to note that I very verbally disagreed with the board decision to fire Marvin from Bluewire and I still find Marvin to be one of the top logo designers not just on GFY...but on the entire internet. I hope that the current issue about our hired out work to Marvin can be resolved nicely and privately. I don't anticipate any drama here... |
