what should I charge this guy for a banner ad?
 

I have someone interested in putting up a 468 x 60 banner ad on toop of one of my movie post sites...the site gets 25k uniques per day

Ive never sold advertising space on my site, so I really have no clue what to charghe him. I told him $250 for 1 month, with the banner being on the very top of the page. Am I charging him too much? too little? any clue?

The traffic on my site is actually medium-high quality....and as I said, it gets 25k uniques a day. what u guys think?

Ask youself this question: How many signups would you get from that banner by not selling the banner? It should be pretty easy to figure out what it's worth to you.

Multiply the daily uniques by $10.00, so 25,000 x $10. = $250.00 a month. More if you can get it.

I charge $40/US per day for a text or banner link in my footer spot for no less than two weeks (except when I'm doing someone a personal favor). My traffic is a little higher than yours, but not as much as you might think.. usually in that two weeks, they'll be one or two exceptionally well performing days, but a well written targetted text footer will yeild more than that, so I consider it a steal.

This has nothing to do with banner space charges.

I read some place were, the middle of the page is the best place for an Text Link Ad or a Banner... Is this correct?

You take $1,000,000,000.00 cause that is what we all want and then you divide that number by the actual number of members you have and then you divide the average total of uniques you get per month and then you subtract your lasts months sales total and multiple that by 1 and that is how much you charge for adspace :helpme
