new computer for sale
hey gang, i have decided to sell a new pc that i don't need.
as most of you know i own a computer store. we mostly build high-end gaming machines, so i had one built for myself. however, i decided i wanted a raid, as well as more of a 'work' pc instead of gaming, and had another one built for myself. so now i need to sell this one. i thought before i take it all apart and carry it up to the store, id just post some pics and info on here and see if anyone is interested. i'll sell it to a GFY member for a lot less than i will some college kid who comes in my store :) http://www.woofmedia.com/pc/ |
For how much would you sell it to a GFY member ?? :Graucho
|
sweet
|
hey Dawgy do you have your store online?
I can't get that machine above but I need to buy a new machine, mine current one is very old :( |
price listed is for a GFY member... in the store it'd be marked up a bit more... the monitor alone is about $1600...
marcus.... store isnt online yet :( if you want to email me a price range and/or specs, ill see what i can do. dawgy at woofmedia dot com incidentally, im planning to get the store up & running online within 30 days, and offer rather large discounts to GFY people (spam spam) :) |

$4000, what a hilarious ripoff.
msi kt3 motherboard = $70 antlon xp $= $140 100 gb wd drive = $130 you dont say what kind of ddr ram it is, but at the MOST $130 40x cd-r = $70 max dvd = $40 geforce ti440 = $180 audigy gamer = $90 altec speakers = $75 case, keyboard, power supply, not more than $200 max, oh yeah, $35 for the firewire card. and you run a store so most likely buy in volume. so the MOST you could've paid for this is $1090. the monitor really does cost about $1600. so youre going for $1310 in profit on this piece of SHIT :1orglaugh lol an MSI motherboard with an anthlon XP of all combinations. go peddle your shit to the clueless masses instead. |
that's a nice box. dipshit is right though.. there is some fuzzy math in there... i wouldn't value it at $4k.. especially if it's based off AMD shit.. we all know AMD is way cheaper than Intel gear.. hell even a p4-based system with those stats still would probably not be $4k.
is the desk and chair and shipping included possibly? :) |
any discounts for us gfy people?!?!

P4's suck ass. Athlon kicks, but whatever.. I'd take a P3 over a P4 anyday.

1. DDR ram can cost more than $130 -- I'm paying $150 for mine and I have seen prices as high as $230 for DDR2100 (ECC Registered). The case alone is at least $230. It's a special aluminum case. ( http://www.colorcases.com/cases/0205.html ). He doesnt' say what kind of power supply is but if he builds PCs primarily for gamers, then expect a top-notch power supply. $30 PS's are shit. $80 PS's are OKay. If he's going to do what I will do and buy a top of the line PC Power and Cooling PS, he can pay in upward of $180. His monitor does retail for about $1600 on pricewatch. LCD monitors can be expensive -- especially sony ones. |
Dawgy:
Where can i buy that desk at? Thanks! |
4000 sounds like way to much for a computer especailly when I can get a 17 inch monitor for 520 now and its good quality

if you like sony like I like sony,
you can get this monitor instead: <img src="http://www.sonystyle.com/images/250x250/shots/sdms81b.jpg"> the main difference between this one that costs $1099 and this one that costs $1699: <img src="http://www.sonystyle.com/images/250x250/shots/sdmn80.jpg"> is that the $1099 one doesn't have a separate video, audio and power unit, so it's a bit thicker. (but not $600 thinner :Graucho ) with this system: <img src="http://www.sonystyle.com/images/250x250/shots/mx_4.jpg"> with these specs: Intel® Pentium® 4 processor 2 GHz? 512 MB PC-2100 DDR (expandable to 1 GB) 400 MHz Front Side Bus 120 GB Ultra ATA/100 hard drive 10Base-T/100Base-TX Fast Ethernet Front and rear accessible i.LINK® (IEEE 1394) interfaces and USB connections 4X AGP 3D Graphics Hardware Acceleration (nVIDIA® GeForce2 MX?) 32 MB Video Memory (SDRAM) V.90 compatible data/fax modem Wheel mouse Optical Out for Dolby Digital® Type II PC Card slot Built-in 40W FM Stereo Receiver Giga Pocket? Personal Video Recorder <b><u>DVD-RW</u></b> / CD-RW MagicGate? Memory Stick® Media Slot Net MD? MiniDisc recorder / player cost? unit: $2799 lcd: $1099 --------------- total: $3898 new |
just like i said computer is fucking expensive. the person who will buy it for 4000$ must the stupiest person in whole world.
|
1) The computer looks great!! And is fuckin fast too.
2) The price is too high imo. $4000US = $6000 canadain and for that I can get a MUCH better system... |
ah man that PC is very sexy,,, but i got use to the commodore 64
|

damn i go to bed and u people come out of the wood work.
the computer is priced based on what i paid for the components. if youre that intersted ill dig out my invoices and post the prices i paid. incidentally, msi & amd togehter is not shit as a few people said. i have never had a problem with those two, and i have had problems with other crap. if u arent interested in the computer fine, no reason to treat me like an asshole. geez. |
Quote:
I guess it could be called the GFY charm :winkwink: |
actually ive decided NOT to post the individual prices for each component. why? cuz i dont have to.
when you order a PC from somewhere else, do you ask them what each part cost and then bitch at them about the profit they're making? when you buy a car, do you gripe at how much profit the manufacturer makes? how about that breakfast you had at Denny's this morning? yeah i didnt think so. i am not a huge company, i cant buy 50000 processors and get a huge discount. i get a good discount for the amount of volume that i have. also, when you order all those individual parts from all over the country so you get the lowest prices, have you added up the shipping? ive seen people save $1000 on a PC by getting cheaper parts from all over, then spend $800 on shipping... kindof defeats the purpose doesnt it? :) anyway... i dont have to justify my pricing or profit percentage to anyone. i know what i have in the machine, i know what its worth to someone who actually appreciates that type of computer. if you can build an IDENTICAL machine for less, go for it. im just offering this one for sale before i take it up to the store monday. :321GFY |

http://www.serverpart.com/md512pc2100d18e.html and it would be cheaper if you bought it in 256 dimms instead. thats very much a standard price, but what kind of idiot would buy ddr2100 for a new system anyway? but you're rightddr CAN cost more than $130 if you are really fucking stupid. a microwave can cost $500,000,000 also. if he really paid $230 for that case from colorcase he is butt ass stupid. and he does say what kind of PSU it is you inbred fagchimp, a silencer, i dunno what he paid for it but you can get an enermax whisper for $50 and those are GREAT. and yeah i said the only thing there that wasn't of inflated value was his lcd, so duhhh? so to summarize, you and dawgy pay too much for your shit. you and dawgy are assclowns. dawgy shouldn't be running a pc business at all, or should only be advertising to mainstream mom and dad types. |

heh i dont even know what to say to respond to those two posts... it is impossible to argue with someone who thinks they are always right and treats other people like they are dirt.
please list whatever sites you run dipshit, i want to make sure i NEVER do business with you on any level, in any industry. |
