Hey there just joined this forum after reading tons of posts, you all seem to have a great grasp on things I am still learning about.. So I have a question for you all.

Are blogs worth having on your adult site? what are the pros/cons of having one versus not having one?

I'm actually interested in learning to. I have been doing some research into it and still learning.

so any of you guru's out there got any info?

all that depends... from niche, sponsors, quality of your blog, time of development...

With a blog you can get nice traffic from Search Engines, that's a good advantage. I use Wordpress and it's SEO compatible with a but of configuration. So in 3 months my blog is allready PR4 (without promoting) and i get allready nice SE traffic.

blogs are sure something you should get into. As you all might know se traffic is highly targeted traffic and because of that more easy to convert. Only getting enough of it can be a problem. Still with rich text on blogs it is quite easily done.

What do you consider "nice" traffic? 50 Uniques a day?

Great for getting return visitors, and search engine results - depending on how good your posts are you can also get a fair amount of word-of-mouth traffic. Cons - they can take up a lot of time if you want to make them decent posts, also it can be difficult staying consistant and updating each day.

Nice search engine traffic is a few hundred google visitors a day - there's also tonnes of adult search engines, smaller search engines, rss aggregators and blog directories who can link your blog. It's easy to rack up surfer hits you should start getting thousands pretty easily.


Maybe you should be taking a focus on sales text? And what are you doing with your images - teasing or pleasing? I like having my images leading to tours or FHGs rather than full versions of the image. Seems to work for me. As for the text give the surfers something to read, something that will mak them horny try to avoid the same old shit the sponsor programs have slammed into their RSS feeds. Blogs with personality sell. :pimp
