Fox News Says Pedophile Foley is a Democrat

The O'Reilly Factor said it in not one, but in two segments and posted it three times. I can understand if FOX and The Factor made an error the first time, ( Ya know bad intelligence ) but they keep saying this repeatedly over and over, The most watched show on FOX News has now labeled the former Republican Congressman Mark Foley, who is in the middle of a sexual predator scandal that has Hastert's career on the ropes ?a Democrat. Was this an error or done by choice?

most people say it like it is actually pronounced, it is a pretty common term, so when someone says "fo news", everyone knows what they mean

kind of like when someone says "tar-jay", we know that it is Target

Mrs. Lenny2 10-04-2006 11:54 AM

Ahh come on... Fox News is "fair and balanced" after all. *snicker*

GrouchyAdmin 10-04-2006 11:56 AM

D isn't for Democrat, it's for 'DON'T WORK HERE NO MO!'

So, you're saying it's pronounced "Foe?" Yes, according to the dictionary, that's correct -- and it is the only pronunciation, unlike Tar-Jay and Target, which are both acceptable local terms.

I just wanted to make sure, because I laugh when people think it's pronounced "Fawks" or something akin to that, to sound like "Fox News." It just makes them look retarded.

TheLegacy 10-04-2006 12:30 PM

Republican's can do no wrong - if they do - immediately they are labeled Democrat and all the proof in the world won't change their mind.

sounds like anyone we know?

well, sometimes is it more fun that way

Matt 26z 10-04-2006 04:09 PM

They get away with the "Fair and Balanced" line because their target audiance is so far to the right that even a little bit of liberal content makes them believe that Fox is in fact fair and balanced.

I'm just waiting until they spin it into being Clinton's fault, or that it was actually Bill himself doing the IM conversations to Foley.

What makes you think this is all about IMs. The other show will fall and we all find out that it was more than bits and bytes, but sucks and blows. Maybe a little ass action....

marketsmart 10-04-2006 06:18 PM

why are you reading fox news?

DaddyHalbucks 10-04-2006 06:25 PM

Maybe Fox made a mistake. Maybe they got Foley's party confused with the party of Rep. Gerry Studds, Rep. Barney Frank, Rep. Mel Reynolds, and President Bill Clinton. Those Dems all LOVED pages, prostitutes, campaign volunteers, and interns.

Funny, I don't remember much Democrat outrage at their conduct.

Naaa, I don't think it is all about the IMs, that is just what we have seen so far. I'm just waiting for fox news to spin it though and make it Bill Clinton's fault. They already made Foley into a Democrat, can't wait to see how far they will take it haha.

TimBlaze 10-04-2006 06:29 PM

You forgot to mention Daniel Crane. More importantly though, why defend what Foley did? It sounds like you want to defend him for the mere fact that he's a Republican so then it's OK to do what he did.

Btw, they mention you a few times in the Zango thread. Have you seen it yet?

Brujah 10-04-2006 09:01 PM

Since it matters to the party of "family values" in this thread, here's a few more besides Gingrich, Foley, Quayle, etc..

Rep. Jon Hinson (R-Miss.)
On Aug. 8, 1980, during his first reelection bid, Hinson stunned everyone by announcing that in 1976 he had been accused of committing an obscene act at a gay haunt in Virginia. Hinson, married and a strong conservative, added that in 1977 he had survived a fire in a gay D.C. movie theater. He was making the disclosure, he said, because he needed to clear his conscience. But he denied he was a homosexual and refused GOP demands that he resign.

Rep. Robert Bauman (R-Md.)
On Oct. 3, 1980, Bauman, a leading "pro-family" conservative, pleaded innocent to a charge that he committed oral sodomy on a teenage boy in Washington. Married and the father of four, Bauman conceded that he had been an alcoholic but had been seeking treatment.

Reps. Dan Crane (R-Ill.)
The House ethics committee on July 14, 1983, announced that Crane had sexual relationships with with a 17-year-old female in 1980. Crane, married and the father of six, was tearful in his apology to the House.

The ability to restore honour and integrity to the White House - The moment that usually draws the greatest applause in Mr Bush's campaign speeches comes when the Republican nominee talks about bringing dignity and character back to the White House. Even if they enjoy this era's economic expansion, they want honour restored to the White House. So do we. George Bush could do that by providing a clean, clear break from the past.
