webalizer logs, can one delete them
Howdy again :-).
This may or may not be a silly question, im really NOT techical therefore... Webaliser logs, one of my sites has a web log file size of 1150MB. Is this taking up disk space? I have a max allowed of 1gig all my sites total about 200m, yet Im triing to upload today and its not allowing me. I getting a message saying my disk is full? Im assuming its full due to my 1150M log file? Can these log files be deleted? Why do we even need logs? Sorry for all the questions regards Ray |
Process your logs nightly and set webalizer to incremental.

WHAT? lol.....Dont know what the fuck that means, hehe. i guess i have to contact my host. So it does count for disk space.

try deleting the directory wlizer or whatever it is, not sure if that will work but its worth a try

You can delete the logfiles safely whenever you like.
Webalizer keeps a history file and a database file where the computed stats are stored. put webalizer in a cronjob to run every hour write a small shell script that rotates your logfiles... put the logrotater also in a cron job....to run it once per day preferrably at 23.59 DynaMite |
you can't delete them, you'll have to add a new hard disk every week
