mainstream tip for fresh traffic and exposure
You aiming for more exposure, link backs, spreading the word of your new or established site?
Really easy. Invest in a giveaway. Dependent on your niche, you can give away anything from cookbooks to a laptop, iPods or other shits. Make the contest an easy one, the easier the contest, the higher the probability of more people entering. And the higher the prob. of sites writing about your contest and sharing it with the masses. Set it up, email related sites, if you're lucky, one "authority site" posts about it, suddenly you will find your link on hundreds of other blogs whose owners syndicate that content for their own readers. And before you know it, you've made the money invested in the giveaway back thanks to the increased traffic, plus (if your site is quality) you will gain plenty of new backlinks from other site owners who didn't know about you before. I recently gave away $2000+ of stuff, the response was stunning, and the additional income generated by the fuzz and hype paid for the items in like 3 days. T-shirts, stickers are a good start, and they are cheap to mass produce. I know I didn't reinvent the wheel here, but just something that you don't see much because people underestimate the effect a giveaway can have. |
In adult, this sadly can't work... for one because people (the surfers) don't talk about dildo giveways with their work collegues and secondly because adult site owners are greedy cockmunchers who don't just link to other sites unless they get 150% traffic back.

great tip for sure, I can say it's helped us many times.

DVDs work great. Needless to say, the better the loot, the more people will freak out about it. And if you wave it in front of everyone's noses (meaning: make it easy to enter the contest),their cocks will get stiffer over dreaming about winning the fuckin' thing. |
hey Equinox can I pick your brain for a sec on ICQ?

WOw great advice!
How long should a contest run to get the most exposure? if its too long people might lose interest or think its fake. If it's too short you dont get enough exposure. |
Your traffic audience are bigtime spenders though ;)
