they're doing the live press conference going over this guy who shot the girls at the amish school yesterday. we remember last week that dude in colorado went in and seperated the boys and kept some girls and then abused them. he always intended to die, looks like this guy was doing the same thing.

scary shit to start seeing suicide sexual predators starting up at our schools and who knows where else next. you know how this copycat shit works.

the schools are about as dangerous as jails these days. glad i don't have any kids!!

they say they dont know if he did that yet but it appears that he might have, or at least planned to by what he said to his wife and his letter, as well as having ky jelly and letting all the boys go. they mentioned something about him abusing some young girls when he was younger and that he was saying he was having dreams of doing it again.

you can bet this is in part brought on by last week a guy doing this in colorado and now there are more to come, taking this to a new level

Sad to say, but I see this as natural progression. Ever since CNN turned the Columbine killers (Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold) into celebrities and with the explosion of reality TV, people WANT to be famous, and WANT to be on TV. How they GET famous and on TV doesn't really seem to matter.

Imagine how many people are sitting around RIGHT NOW, thinking, "It'll be my turn soon." They're watching all the press these people get, albeit posthumously, and if they're thinking of killing themself anyways, why not get themself some notoriety at the same time? Noone would remember them otherwise. But we'll remember them now.

I named the two Columbine killers above. Can ANYONE name TWO of the VICTIMS?? If noone cheats and uses google, that should prove my point. If the news channels stopped making celebrities of the killers and instead focused on the VICTIMS, there may be fewer of these over time.

I fully expect to see MANY more of these kinds of attacks in the future. I REALLY hope I'm wrong. :2 cents:

My sister home schooled her kids up to nineth grade and then put them in
public school. My nephew graduated Valedictorian and is now a freshman in college on a full scholarship. My niece is a freshman in high school and on her way too. I was against her home schooling until I saw the results.

I don't mean to brag but I'm just so darn proud of the way my sister and brother in-law have raised their kids especially with what parents are faced with today.

I'm putting my kid in Options for Youth (independent study), because we don't reside where she's BEEN going to school, and she refuses to go to the school where we DO reside (and I don't blame her). I'm guessing she'll actually graduate early and avoid half the bullshit that kids have to deal with in public school.

my kids are going to be home schooled. I just dont trust the school systems anymore.
