Errors and issues in Sorenson Squeeze?
 

Anyone else have problems doing batch files in sorenson? Like 50 or more clips ends up with errors or crashing? Is this just me? Tired of babysitting this software today. Sticking to 40 files at a time. Its not the computer. Brand new e6600 duo core 4gb of ram. Thing is a beast. Is this just me having issues with large batch files? I have the newest version 4.3 all updates to it. Getting frusturated bah. lol

I do them 1 by 1, hoping I can automate that soon thou.

I use a diff program to rip dvds. Sorenson is fine unless its large amount of files is over 40 or 50.

Batch programs are notorious for this kinda of thing. What usually happens is your buffer memory will get overloaded or something along those lines. Most editing progs will have a purge memory command. Look it up in your help files

So, what are you using, then? VirtualDub? If so, it has tons of memory leaks, and you will want to script it to restart every so often.

I've been using 4.3 since it came out, and haven't had any issues with it doing large loads. I do about 80 vids at a time, overnight while i sleep. Sorry I can't be of help :Oh crap

Memory isnt an issue have 4gb physical, but restrained to 3gb till I get 64bit installed on this box.

sorenson blows, there are much better apps. course with more features and functionality comes more cost :)

Cost isnt an issue. What do you recommend that wont give me constant errors?
