Do you have any car sales experience or bank experience?

I find it hard to believe someone offered you the F&I job over the phone if you have no experience whatsoever.

Is 72k before or after the commissions?

I was in sales and F&I for Volvo (3 years) and then Lexus (5 years) before I decided I enjoyed my life away from work and got into the mortgage business. Now I make just as much and work half the time I did in the car business, so say good bye to your social life and hello to 60-70 hour weeks.

While in college I was in the car business for several years. At one time I was the fleet manager at the local Ford dealership. Prior to that I did finance work at a different dealership.

I'll be a finance manager for an auto dealership. Try telling me that God's not helping me.

Interesting to learn that car dealerships hire Finance Managers over the phone who filed for bankruptcy a few years before (most companies are leary of putting people with bad credit records in jobs with fiduciary responsibilities).

I assume you have some prior auto industry experience, otherwise, I guess that auto industry Finance Managers have the same skill set as porn photographers.

People from the D.C. area might know the name Darcars run by the Darvish family some rich middle eastern looking fucks..I used to try to sell cars at Darcars Toyota/Volvo...The New car biz is hell...I was there every fucking weekend and didn't leave every day until it got dark...I had to deal with cheap fucks of a customer who understandably had a multitude of other choices of car like Mazda which was nearby..

If we could get them in the office, the first thing a newbie car salesman got a closer to seal the deal and then they were whisked off to financing to get fucked in the ass...

employees are grinded up and spit out even more than the porn industry...a new car salesman is nothing but a straight up WHORE...The new car business is straight bullshit and the need to haggle over price is useless when the dealership gets razor thin profits off of a new car in the first place...Everybody in the car business knows that the profit comes from selling USED cars...

And like I said before, EVERYBODY gets grinded in the car business...the only people that are secure is the owner, his son (like with Darvish), and the salesman who has been there for YEARS and has his bullshit laid down so sweetly, there is no reason for him to ever leave.

You might as well gone into the bailbondsman business..

My buddy owns the largest Lincoln dealership in NJ and also the largest glass structure in Northern Jersey.
It is truely along the lines of a mortgage broker sleazy type.

pretty blunt assesment there but dead on, except the biggest profit generator for a dealership isnt used cars it's parts and service. Go look at any new dealership and ask yourself why they have 30+ bays in the service area.

That business has gone through a drastic change in the past 8-10 years, everyone comes in the door with an "invoice" they printed off of the web and wants to buy your product at or below cost...

I dont see you just doing that. Anyone ambitious enough to be making a good living early on in porn is ambitious enough to start making websites about cars, finance, etc etc and you could end up with a successful mainstream site.

You beat me to it so I'll just echo it.

Speaking as someone who has worked in auto sales in the past I can tell you porn monger is a much more respectable job then an F&I manager at a car dealership.
