2001 Maniacs... Seen it?
 

I bought it saturday because it said it was from the makers of Hostel. This is one seriously fucked up flick. Was this movie big anywhere or straight to DVD?

Anyone else seen this shit?

What's it about?

Its a horror(i guess) flick about the south. Truly mind blowing.

I can't watch horror alone.

I watched this last night! FUCKING AWESOME.

These filmmakers have a mission in mind with their movies: to usher in a return of the video nasties. Englund was made for the role and he makes a few nice little movie in-jokes ("I'm used to a good bar-b-que!" and the way he slides on-screen when he first appears, just like the immortal Fred Kruger). It is one of those truly fun gore-fests that you can watch again and again, just for the sheer pleasure of seeing people ripped apart, crushed, bathed in acid and having their testicles bitten off. This is what nasty horror is all about. They don't try to make your spine tingle (ala American Haunting), they try to make your gorge rise.
