Grrr I pay 43 euros (55ish USD) for a 4mbit cable that drops every ten minutes... Hopefully getting a faster and more reliable ADSL today, I'm sick beyond belief of this shit. Wouldn't take this connection again even if it was free. Might be able to get a 100mbit connection if it's available in my area. I'd pay double for something reasonably reliable

Thinks it's about $75 for 512K up and a meg something down + some dedicated IPs from AT&T on DSL. Part of a package so I'm guessing a bit without looking at the bill. Use dialup for backup Was offered fiber, but then the phone company dropped the plan.
Got the fastest they had to offer in a DSL package. Limited becasue of distance to CO. Cable would give me greater BW down and less up. I have an emotional thing aginst the cable company. No support, not even sales support. Anytime you ask for anything special like a dedicated IP, you're classified as a biz customer.
