Is there any reason why conversions are better at the end of the month rather than the beginning?

Just looked at the stats on the paysite and affiliates conversions were 20% better in the last week of September against the first week.

August was similar but less.

People paid their bills and have extra money left over to buy the things theyve been looking at all month?
or people get paid at the end of the month?
just guesses

End of the month I would assume they have less, I've spent the $100 Eva gives me by the end of the first week. :1orglaugh
