Several weeks ago when Tiger (my offsider) and I were interviewing models for Batts World we had a really sexy beautiful girl turn up for a test shoot. She looked amazing, one of the most beautiful girls I had ever seen.

Lets call this model ?Jane? that is not her name but I will call her that just for this post. One of our first questions to a model is ?Why are you here? and generally the answer is for the money but there is also many other reasons they are here to, some of them include, wanting to gain more self confidence, ex-boyfriend used to make them feel ugly and the list can go on.

?Jane? was here for the money as she was in $ 3000.00 debt and needed to get out of it fast. Jane was also studying to be a Lawyer.

I said to Jane, if you were not in debt would you be here, her answer was NO. For the next hour Tiger and I convinced her not to shoot with us, Jane still wanted to, but we convinced her not to. I did not want her to have any problems in the years to come when she is practicing law and nude pictures of her surface on the internet. Not that there is anything wrong with girls posing nude for us, some models make a career out of modeling for us and some don?t and I really prefer not to shoot the ones that don?t.

I called Jane recently just to see if she was ok as I do care about people even if they are not working for me, she said she was still in debt and to make things worse she went and financed a new vehicle, it does amaze me why she would finance a new vehicle when she is in debt.

About a month ago I actually turned away this cute red head Lori met at the mall... she was all gung-ho, but then as she was dressed, had done her 2257 shit, and I had my camera in my hands I saw 'that look' in her eyes, and said, 'you're not sure about this, are you'. She didn't want to say that she wasn't, but you could just tell. I told her to come back later in the week if she still wanted too. She didn't. I'm so glad I got a hold of her first instead of some of these video guys from LA.

IF she makes it threw law school, she'd just sue you for practice... Wise move.

Probably had no cash to buy a new/used one ... financing a used car with bad credit goes thru a bank at around 18% .... a new car with manufacturer financing will sometimes cost less per month ..... :2 cents:

Also Batts models do more then a few shoots they are the Batts world girls, hes not looking for someone whos going to do a few shoots and then piss off, thats not really what Batts world is about. Batts I think you did the right thing, no point shooting someone who really doesnt want to be shoot:)

I maybe would have talked her to an exclusive single girl contract and shown her that she can make more than being a lawyer.

For someone wanting to be a lawyer she sure is having problems making a convincing case for herself or her decisions. She probably made up that story to get work but it backfired.

I think you did the right thing. You'll never know that the girl might regret doing the shoot after she got the money and paid of the bills.

Damn batts, theres a very good chance she wont even get thru law school etc. its not exactly easy, and plus, by the time that happens, I'm sure some of the photographers here will tell u she cant do anything about it. Also, you might not even have adult sites by the time she even finishes the stuff. Lots of ifs or maybes imho.

I did the same thing earlier this summer ... when she told me that she cant' remmeber the scenes she did becuase she blocks em out, I opted not to shoot her, Actually took out for coffee and discussed how it could change her life, her family life .. As it turned out with a little research I found out whom her family was .. thank god. I did what I did . cus her father turned out ot be a well known loan shark.

Why on earth shouldn't you hire her? Shes had it all explained and is bright enough to make her own decisions? All the paperwork is in order and she's over 18? So why not let another adult make an informed choice shes clearly capable of?

IF you really did turn her away then theres more to it than you're saying. Maybe she just weirded you out in that "I think you maybe a journalist looking for a story" kinda way or something else just didn't ring true. It happens - I've knocked back a few, just cause it didn't feel right. Maybe she just wasn't that hot and you saw the potential for something bloggable if you did send her on her way.
