Wakeboarder attempts jump over fountain (pics)
 

Just got back from watching pro wakerboarder JD Webb jump the fountain in Orlando's lake Eola. It was ramp to ramp over a 70 foot gap and the whole thing was being filmed for the Discovery Channel series " Stunt Junkies "

He made three practice runs and had a big fall on the last one. Then they turned the fountain on and he made his final atttempt which was perfect.

Last summer the world wakeboard competition was in Moscow. I saw so many cute guys.....

That show "Stunt Junkies" is pretty cool.

that's pretty kewl all in all but not big on the sport though.

I would like to see full gear and a challenge to see who of two get knocked off first. Then it might be kewl :1orglaugh

Well he will not be hurted if he fall into that fountain.

the lip is 80% or more the height of the fountain. still kind of impressive.

I saw that. I live on that lake and that was some crazy stuff.

He took three practice runs with the fountain dry and then they turned on the fountain and he made one last pass shown in the pictures above. On the last of the practice runs he got sideways in the air and landed awkwardly on the ramp sending him flying backwards into the water. It was a pretty big fall but he shook it off and made the final run with the fountain turned on.:thumbsup
