What will be the NEXT BIG THING in adult?

What do you guys think will be the next big thing that happens to this industry.

It's under a constant development but what will be the next big jump.

Will it all go mobile?

Will paysites as we know them die?

What are your thoughts?

Amateur sex communities. Like a porn myspace

Fleshlight with USB interface, so you can have it stimulated by someone on the net. That again will make KRMsnitch pay a programmer to develop a fake jerk bot so he can jerk 115 guys off at the same time, using only one mouse and a set of configurable variables

Personally, I think the next big jump in online entertainment will be the evolution of the computer as the center of home entertainment. Movies, music, games, and television will all come through the internet through optic cables, and be pumped into the rest of the home. The biggest thing porn will have to deal with is keeping up with the technology and production standards that will allow it to transition as smoothly as other media industries. :2 cents:

There isn't going to be one "BIG THING" but lots of "RATHER LARGE THINGS" that will shape the future of the adult entertainment. And not I'm not talking about the types of things medium sized programs will be doing.

One of the biggest things I see changing is the affiliate software we use. While what we are currently using is great, I think there will be some big changes in the future. Soon our home pages will be set to our affiliate software, and we'll get all of the information we need from there - News from AVN and Xbix, GFY, and stats from everything we push instantly.... None of this logging in to a dozen places to check stats from a dozen programs.

A lot of large mainstream companies will be getting into our business. Both Google and Yahoo are tapping into what our industry has to offer; Pretty soon Google will be launching something that will change our industry. There will also be some more credit card processing companies.

But I think the biggest change will be from Microsoft and Dell, and Apple too. Early next year Apple will be selling a device that will wirelessly hook up our computers to our TVs. Just like most people now buy their music on line (legally), the public will start to buy their DVDs online. You'll be able to load them up on a portable device, bring them over to your friend's house, and wirelessly send them to your friend's TV - No need to physically own a DVD. Someday in the future all the porn downloaded will be watched on TV and other portable devices.

Then of course there will be new tends on the internet our industry will have difficulties tapping into like Myspace and youtube.

At the same time our industry will continue to mature. The smaller programs and newer programs who will not be able to offer up the basic tools other programs have will quickly fail. And we already know that traffic is getting harder and harder to come by.

The next five to ten years will be very interesting for our industry.

Bingo.

My house is brand new, completely wired with fiber optics and surround sound. I'm sure if I gave it enough effort I could wire up my computer to my TV without much thought.

Oh, I failed to mention IPTV.

Thats friend Shane Diesel with his 13" Alabama snake.

Other than that, I think stuff like cell phone SMS, wich is already big in Europe, and Ipod porn is going to kick ass.

Rochard went missing at YP for a day. I think he found a time machine in Ensenada and just came back from the future!

Seriously, good stuff. There is currently a huge infrastructure build out going on to expand mobile networks. My buddy has a wireless ISP with the largest Motorola Canopy deployment in Florida. Aparently Earthlink has been trying to buy him out for some time so they can own towers starting with all cities with NFL teams so they can broadcast live games to wireless devices. That's where they think the initial mobile video demand will be. Since he also has all the necessarry FCC licenses to build towers, people have been up hus butt to increase the tower density in cities so the cellular companies can increase their bandwidth on wireless services.

There's plenty of those being developed/coming out soon. I actually did an article for Klixxx on the subject, should be in Oct issue. Whether they're going to be really successful or not is up in the air. :p

Aggregation of ALL sponsor content into a singular data mass that can be uniquely queried and displayed to any one surfer based on his / her previous preferences; i.e. the ideal targeted content / information to the individual from a huge dataset of all information available.
