I have used this company www molybank com (sorry for the writing but I donīt have enough posts yet to write the link) they are EXPENSIVE but the service is good and they are honest. You get all the original docs by DHL from the bank, you sign it yourself and send it back.:2 cents:

i think you need to apply for e-passport in that case it is easy than opening an account

How much you payed if I can ask ? :)

Shots-Christina 09-30-2006 06:46 AM

I paid 3000$ but that included forming a company then making the company and a private account, as well as, company and private Visa cards. Iīm sure if itīs just an account it will be much cheaper.

Opening a bank account offshore is the same as onshore Tapaz - and costs nothing other than filling in a form and supplying the bank with decent ID. This can often be done online with a followup of notorized docs or whatever the bank may require.

Better add... if you are a US citizen resident in the US, this scenario is different, and can be more problematic in that there is an obligation to state worldwide income to the IRS annually and an awareness by the US govt of citizens operating OS bank accounts. (Other countries don't have this degree of possible problems.)

PS OS banks will not discuss client accounts, but the IRS have their own methods of tracking.

Most of the banks want a bank reference, but if I give a bank reference from my bank to the new bank the account is not so anonymous anymore. If the new bank contact the old one and say "Hi, I call from the bank x i lala offshore land, I have a client from you're bank who wants to open an account in our bank."
Is there any banks left who don't want a bank reference, except Latvia? And Latvia is sadly not an option!
