Does being green make you more valuable to the industry?

Or is it just an ego boost? I found myself pondering the riches and fame I would get upon being greened, the fast cars, the fast women, the fast food (I wouldn't have time for real food with all that time dedicated to posting to be worthy of my green status)...

To quote a very famous person in history who I believe had a huge impact on the green movement... KERMIT THE FROG!

"It's Not Easy Bein' Green" (lyrics by Joe Rapposo)

It's not that easy bein' green;
Having to spend each day the color of the leaves.
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold-
or something much more colorful like that.

It's not easy bein' green.
It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things.
And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water- or stars in the sky.

But green's the color of Spring.
And green can be cool and friendly-like.
And green can be big like an ocean, or important like a mountain, or tall like a tree.

When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why? Wonder,
I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful!
And I think it's what I want to be.

(Amazing the shit you come up with on perscription meds, ignore me, some of you post drunk, some smoked out, I post on legal meds. :winkwink: )

Green has no meaning. Neither does join date.
It is all about context, helpfulness provided, knowledge, and the person than how often they pound on the keyboard.

Agree with that 100%.

After Shock Media is a very wise man, he reminds me of a Consigliere: the counselor in a crime Family; advises boss and handles disputes within the ranks.

SomeCreep 09-30-2006 12:18 AM

No, half the nicks that are "green" are contest thread postwhores who post 100+ times in every contest thread.

Actually low post count + 2001 join date normally means player.

jayeff 09-30-2006 03:13 AM

To the extent I thought about it at all, it seems kind of ironic that in most non-reptilian contexts, green equates to new and inexperienced. I'm in the same position as Tat2Jr so it will be sufficient reward just to be around long enough to go green.

StuartD 09-30-2006 03:44 AM

Green is the other white meat.

s9ann0 09-30-2006 03:45 AM

I canconfused are you talking about saving the planet or shrek ?

LadyMischief 09-30-2006 05:05 AM

Green is good but I kind of think Purple is better... Why do I have to get stuck with green, I'm a GIRL!? (Come to think of it, there aren't many FEMALE greenies these days, are there?)
