Why do DESIGNERS DISAPPEAR-Need New one
 

I have 3 totally different web designers and they all three have vanished off the map...So if anyone would like to give me some quick help, I'm open to try some new guys that need to expand thier portfolios

This tells an experienced designer (one who will NOT disappear on a good client -- one who values repeat business from a decent client) that you're a cheap-ass and hot worth taking on as a client. This leaves you with designers who think a slave wage is initially a good idea but half-way through the project wakes up and realizes they are being taken advantage of and will never be able to pay the bills on the agreed upon fee. Thus, they avoid you at all cost when you return to try and rape them some more.

you 're full of shit, I've built and paid for over 100 designs in 2 years and only used 4 different designers..so I think my business is good plus I pay fast by epassporte. I currently have a fast project I need done , like yesterday that's why it's always best to have 10 designers on stand by incase 3 of them flake

I am an experienced designer, and it is IMPOSSIBLE for a client to be a cheap ass, because any designer who doesn't know what they are getting paid BEFORE they start the work is a fucking noob and needs to get their jobs off the Art Institute bulletin board.

If your a designer in America and not willing to work for $8 an hour like his designers in the Philipeans or in Russia and build 3 page tours, banners, gallery templates, and all the rest of the shit for $150 then your wasting your time....

If they are freelancers, working at home, in the Philippines, they are probably just getting out from under the storm.

As GFX Wiz stated, The reasons why designer disappear is because when we get stiffed and deal with enough bullshit, we tend to make ourselves "conveniently unavailble".

Too many people out there that think, we are a walking "yard sale" and don't whant to pay, at least, decent money.

From, $3 banners, $100-$200 paysites, even $5 galleries,freesites, etc, etc.
Plis, the bullshit we have to put up with. No Thanks.

I'm not saying, thats what is going on with you. But for the most part, that what normally happens.

I'm also, am looking for a good company to work with that doesn't deal in bullshit. I had had it with freelance work. Noo much bullshit and people wanting to pay Phillipino" money for top end design work.
You get, what you pay for.
But, I have my doubts, companies or clients exist.
The industry has went into the toliet a few years ago.
