Though I would definitely be interested in knowing about the conversion ratio differences between the 2 tours. If the text really helps sales, I think most paysite designers will start putting in buckets of text in their tours now.Comment

I wasn't.... (belittling him). he wasn't asking for prices. If he was serious, he would have contacted me and not made some snide comment on a bbs. A snide comment deserves one in return. I'm very well versed in this game. I don't list prices for a reason. If someone wants work done, they know how to contact me. If they don't, they don't. Unlike the droves of spammers that come and go throughout the day, I don't need to whore myself out to every 40 post flake bitching about me not listing prices of $5 bucks a banner on my site. Still not sure what new software you can use. Except maybe Fireworks MX and photoshop 7, which is what I assume what most designers here use. They also use Flash which you dont seem to. I'm not every designer.
Anyway your designs are not good enough that I would pay something I can't afford. A lot of great designers here who work for $1200 per site and they do flash as well. I'll stick to the tried and tested that convert for me instead. From my experience I can tell you those tours on your portfolio will not convert well at all. Sites like Ninaknowsbest.com convert, not stuff with lots of circles and rectangles and lines and dots and stylish fonts and photoshop filters. They would definitely be more suited for more mainstream work rather than paysite tours. But mainstream work require those same dots lines and jiggles in flash format.
Surfers only want one thing - good pictures and lots of them, not good design - give them the simplest of layout with quality updated pictures and they will come flocking back. You have to sell the site's content to them, not the design. A complicated design will scare off many dialup surfers. It's a skill selling the content, and unfortuntely it does not have much to do with photoshop or flash skills. Your main site design seems to be making that mistake as well - trying to sell yourself off as one of those make-money-quick schemes instead of just showing your work. There are very few paysite tours in your portfolio- you still seem to be on the learning curve as far as paysite tours are concerned.
If you really want to learn, check out the designs on sites that convert - bangbus, realbutts, karupspc, karas amateurs, blacksonblondes. You wont find fancy graphics on any of them. I can safely bet no experienced sponsor is going to use your services for paysite tours with those designs in your portfolio.Comment
