An observer's commentary on continuing drama in GFY

I haven't been on GFY all that long, but the GFY back and forth drama is always amusing to me. What I don't get is...

#1 we're all here to help each other make money in this industry that we share. So, we should try to build each other up and not break each other down.

#2 if individuals have such a problem with one another, I was always taught that you settle them toe-to-toe, man-to-man. Calling someone names like 'faggot' or 'idiot' in a public forum over a computer has always seemed juvenile to me for obvious reasons and ultimately, it accomplishes nothing.

#3 if you've got a legit problem with someone, call me crazy, but I think it should be settled in private. I can see where calling someone out on the board is sometimes a last resort to achieve a desired outcome, but often times it seems as though it's the first knee-jerk reaction that people have.

Just my :2 cents: and that's all.

This is not good for generating thread views.

You are crazy. Think of how many thread views you're losing by keeping it private!

Because some of those that some of us work with feel the need to screw others. So shit hits the fan.

Name calling does nothing aside from getting a small laugh if it was funny enough. Problems aired in public though typically end up with a solution and often very quickly for the person that was screwed.

Drama stuff typically could and should be handled in private I agree. Often that does not work out though or they just ignore you. Drama should never be knee jerk either though and it is important to think it out.
However when potential drama also effects more than one person and those people may not know they are getting screwed, it does not seem right to keep it private. If you think so still, then your in violation of your #1.

I think you're overestimating the intelligence level that exists on GFY and you're DEFINITELY off base as to why many are actually here (#1).
