Thanks! Corey and I sure think so, too. We really are looking for the best and brightest out there so I didn't think it would hurt to cast a big net over GFY and see if someone isn't possibly interested in moving to warmer weather for a dream job... the best possible job, I think, for individuals with this skill set :)

In case I wasn't crystal clear above, the individual(s) must be local or willing to relocate.

:thumbsup

sounds like a great job for the right person :thumbsup

Brad you forgot to mention which Linux they have to be a guru in. From your site it looks like you only support CentOS and RHEL, which are basically the same.

I wish I liked CentOS or RHEL

NiteRain 09-27-2006 01:06 PM

Bumping...

squishypimp 09-27-2006 01:37 PM

good luck :)

Brad Mitchell 09-27-2006 01:52 PM

I didn't see the need to be that specific - if they're a 'guru' in just about any of the flavors, they would adapt and do well here I am sure :)

so very not true, RH is nothing like SLES or gentoo, let alone debian or slackware. or yellow dog, or white box...or or or. It pays to be specific.

What kind of pay are you talking about? I have 13 years as a unix sysadmin, the last 7 with a linux focus.

Send an email to brad at mojohost dot com with your contact information and I will phone you tomorrow to discuss.

I'll see if I have time tomorrow. I'm not personally interested, but I have friends out there that might be. One in jacksonville.

Brad Mitchell 09-28-2006 10:41 AM

As far as the pay goes, that can vary wildly based on the knowledge and work experience of the candidate. The safe assumption here regarding pay is that we are paying market rates or better - enough to interest candidates to leave their current employer and move to Miami, if necessary.

Cheers,

Brad
