i just saw an ad to buy the new fast and the furious movie...

yea they really are releasing shit fast these days. (or at least leaking fast lol) i already have mi3, the omen, superman returns...and many more...

yeah they have to release faster because of the piracy leaks...

That's great, though I did not really enjoy that latest Fast and Furious installment..

I remember back when the VCR first came out and the movie industry said it would put them out of business... not they make most of their income from DVD/VHS sales

I've noticed that it really depends on how long the movie stays in the theaters. If they can sell tickets for a long time, expect release pretty late. If its in and out, like F and the F, expect release pretty quick.

Most movies are coming to DVD within 3-6 months after they finish their run in theatres. It's partly to prevent/reduce piracy, but mostly to capitalize on DVD sales while there's still talk about the movie.
