Who is getting a PS3 Nov 17
 

Anyone out there getting a Playstation 3 on launch date? I'm thinking about and then reselling like I did 5 XBOX 360's when they were first released. The only part is sitting at fucking walmart for 12 hours lol.

Same here, getting as many as I can. Buying at least five of them.

was thinking of grabbing one just to put on ebay, if it didnt profit, then i'd just keep it.

id like to but i dont play video games anymore

They going to be in high demand with not that many being released for launch, I'll be lucky to pick one of them up. Now I need to talk the Wife into wanting a Wii, and letting me get a PS3 :)

I would love to get one, I love ps2 much better than xbox. The whole 12 hour line thing though, don't know if I can do that, mid november is going to be pretty chilly here.

Yeah atleast here walmart is open 24 hours so we just have to sit inside. gets boring as fuck though. I need a blackberry/treo with internet to get me through it haha

I will, if they ever start taking per-order. Jesus christ. What is the deal with tha. I reserved my PS2 months in advance. PS3 is only two months away and still no word.

Hell ya ... Wii is gonna be awesome ... why spend $600 for the Same Ol Shit? Besides ... no console can beat PC gaming for graphics anyway :) Soooo uniqueness of the Wii > expensive ass PS3

Why this instead of the Xbox 360?

I believe the xbox360 does 720p while the ps3 does 1080p. The ps3 also has a blue-ray drive or it's suppose to have one. Other than that I doubt it's any different.

Nope, the 360 can do 1080p as well... there is a 1080p game comming out soon.. just forgot the name.. i think it is FEAR.. not sure

i am a big xbox fan, but the fact that u cant play xbox games on the 360 made me decide onthe ps3...

I'm addicted to walmart, there's no 24 hour one near me, but in Florida there's one right around the corner. But ya, people here wait in their cars freezing overnight for these releases. T

The release date for PS3 here now is March 2007.

There are only going to be 400K available in all of North America at launch. good luck waiting in line at wal-mart.

PS3 has the potential to be much better than the 360. The 360 still uses the old DVD9 standard. PS3 uses blu-ray which can hold 5.5 times the data.

I can't wait to see what the prices are on eBay. I made a couple of grand off those stupid Elmo toys, can't wait to see how much I can make off of the Ps3's lmao.

over priced?

$600 PS3 you get 60 GB harddrive blu-ray, wi-fi, HDMI, compact flash, SD/memory stick slots, wirleess contoller

$400 360 you get 20GB harddrive wireless controller.
$100 for wi-fi ad on
$200 for HD-DVD add on

So for $700 you get a system that only has a 20GB hardrive, orces you to use $40 64 MB memory cards for portable memory and has no HDMI support and no slots for compact flash/SD/memory stick which are MUCH cheaper and hold MUCH more data than the memory cards Microsoft forces you to buy.

i will see how good it is compared to the 360
