south beach miami area hotels?
 

Hey All,

Anyone have any recommendations for hotels in Miami-South Beach particularly? I know about the shore club, but its sold out the week we're looking at going.

Looking from price range $150-300night.. 4 nights stay in march 2007.

If anyone has some sort of connection for room stay, even better! Thanks in advance.

Approx 10 ppl, so i'd say 3 - 4 rooms.

Trying to find parking is a bitch so keep that in mind. I like the older hotels off the main strip if your just looking for a place to crash.

I was on vacation in Florida, Orlando but for my birthday we drove down the Miami for the weekend. We got a hotel on Collins Avenue, thinking thats great we're right next to everything... Damn how wrong were we?

Collins Avenue is HUGE. It must stretch for like 30 miles or something. We were nearer the top end than the South Beach end. It cost us $120 per night in taxi's to get down to the clubs and stuff.

Make sure you don't make the same mistake we did :)

Did you ever make it down to the Bahamas on your trip?

that's prime vacation time for this area. I'd try the Ritz-Carlton or Loews. You might come in right around $300/night. Make the reservations soon because they'll fill up quick
