damn, thats bad news

The only way for housing prices to go up long term is for incomes to go up.

Even with all of the deflation in housing lately, prices are still way too high in alot of areas.

The lower the prices on houses go, the happier I am.

Im looking to buy.

Ancient news too.

I ran the numbers for the house I'm renting--the current landlord bought it in April 2005 when the Case-Schiller Housing Index for LA was around 233. That same index is now at 169. So this property that he paid $1.35M for is now worth approximately $945k... I just did the math, and figured out he's losing over $8k per month in equity.

Not a good investment.

Interesting thread I posted ... 1 year before the Great Housing crash of 2007... And the financial collapse of 2008. Talk about a time capsule post. Porn Producer, I appreciate the bump but you shouldn't be bumping 3 year old posts, man.

I wonder how long before things are going to be normal again.

Damn, shit, I didn't even notice the date.

What's funny is I'm surprised you didn't get a bunch of haters telling you that you were an idiot and that prices would keep going up forever.
Most people who said anything negative about the housing market back then got burned in effigy.

Now everyone wants to pretend like they were the ones who saw it coming.

really? i challenge you to find those people who said housing prices would go up forever.
everyone with an IQ over 20 knew houses were already over dramatically over valued, particularly in states like California and that the bubble was going to burst eventually and the market would correct itself.

what drives you to be such an idiot? is it medication? low IQ? poor parenting? i'm getting curious to know what your story is. blunt force trauma to the head?

If you don't mind getting your news from 2006 then I think the best place to start looking to buy an apartment in Florida is in 2001! :thumbsup
