Yahoo continues its downward spiral
This may have been covered while I was away. Seems Yahoo is stopping UK online auctions and sending people to eBay. Makes you wonder what they'll be left with as the Search part of Yahoo has now been shit for a long while.
|
... in my whole life I have never done more than 5 searches with yahoo, I always wonder why people use their search anyway ... but I like their stock features ...
|
I get by without yahoo.
For searches I like google.:) |
I use yahoo because the website has the daily news which I like to read.
I rarely ever do a search anyways. Yahoo is my start page & think yahoo will be around for a long time. |
They have their Groups. Those could have 200 million people a day viewing a bunch of ads each.
Free hosting (Geocities), email, messenger, stock quotes, personals, maps, etc. |
Someone is certainly using Yahoo! I average about 1K uniques to my oldest and largest site and around 600 to one of my newer, more focussed, sites from them. This is counting both their directory referals as well as searches, but either way, it's sweet traffic.
|
well ebay has always been the dominant auction on the internet.. it was given that yahoo would give up on auctions..
|
yahoo is the first place i go for searches. 90% of the time its 10x better than google or anything else.
|
Yahoo, pissed me off to no end...
I use to get all kinds of pussy with my very NASTY ads, now they check every ad... |
I never liked Yahoo:ak47:
|
Do you think they send those visits to Ebay for free???? :thumbsup
|
I like yahoo cause of launch, but then again that wasn't theirs to begin with.
|
I just can't get rid of Yahoo as my start page. I tried other sites but if i don't have Yahoo when i open my browser, it doesn't feel right :)
PS: By the way, have you seen the Beta version of the new yahoo ? |
