Site redesign - what do you think?
 

Just finished up the new design for www.ReadyLube.com and would love to know what you sexy gfy'ers think of it!

If you find any problems or there's something you think should be changed please let me know :)

How do you like the color scheme?
The layout of everything?

Layout seems ok. Graphics are a little too simple, looks like this lube was made in someone's back yard.
No brand - text title is that the best you can do for the product?
Poor package design.. invest your money there, it will pay for itself if you are planning to move anywhere other then internet, and if not, at least create 'virtual' package design.

Looks nice but the red text for the side nav doesn't work for me.

clean and simple. Doest have any oomph factor for me.

it looks like 90% of the maisntream sites...

So does that mean you like it because it keeps the flow of what your used to seeing? or you think the look needs something more?

It's not bad, i agree with standman, you could improve on your package design, i would use a bit of flash in the header, create some more interest. You should really invest in creating a logo, right now the ready lube name at the top just looks too homemade. Develop a nice logo and type font for your brand. It will not cost that much, now is the time to do it. if you want to take your brand to the next level. check out one of my sites jockbutt.com i am not saying i have the greatest site in the world, but notice my type fonts, and logo. they are all custom. You want to create a unique image and identity with your brand.

I added a few more nice touches over the last couple days to the site and corrected some things in the code.

Yeah the proof will be in the sales, your exactly right! Starting out nice this last week though but can't really say it's because of the site design, I think it will take a little longer to tell when the new site is bringing them in.

it is clean, but it looks a little too much like those e-book sites. May be adding some curves here and there to make it less straight, if you know what I mean.

Since you asked.. the answer to your question was BLAH

that's all that this design was worth but I ended up having to type out a lot more because GFY has character minimum. In other words, the design is BLAH. Or let me explain BLAH. Did you get that now? BLAH!

Ah man, I'm sorry about that...it looks like I made you use your tissues for your eye's instead of what you normally do with them.
