You really think the Awards are legit? I am glad you are working with uit but keep in mind you know the award's are just a silly face play and publicity stunt to make people believe some shit about how great everyone is.

Aerik I did my best just to get nominated, I played the game but because I am SOOOOOOO Controversial I was slighted. Some of the best work in my career was released last year and I got spat on.

i don't see that man. if thats the case, for as much support as i give them i woulda won something right? there were people won last year that do not advertise. xbiz doesn't pick the winners, the industry does. most people who are smart now advertise in xbiz. it is fast becoming the number one online trade publication. i don't get paid to say that. they have a great group of people and they work hard to cover the issues and insides of the online biz. who really gives a shit if you won an award or even got a nomination for anything man. i'm real with you, have been from day one. i think you're an excellent designer, why do you feel you need the industry's validation to confirm that. i pesonally feel that some people stay away from you because the damage that you do to yourself man. like i said, you're a phenomenal designer and the fact that you did not win or get the industry vote for a design award is a direct reflection of the damage alien has done to alien. this should not prompt you to terrorize my promotional efforts. i like to think we are friends and i'd like to keep it that way. this is not an attack on you, this is a direct, honest opinion for which i've no reason nor reward in saying. please don't undermine me man, i work really fuckin hard and i don't deserve it. you're in l.a. i'm in l.a. and should there be things that i can utilize you for i would, just don't pee on my picnic. thanks.

everyone in this biz deserves an award for something or no one would be successful. i don't ever want an award for anything, no ambush, no award, no nothin, my reward is ACCOMPLISHMENT.

Well I will go into it again.

I had over 100 People go and vote for my work, clients and fans along with other folks that just simply appreciated what I had done in Design.

A Nomination was irrefutable in "Industry Votes" I know I had over 100.

However there is a Cadre of 6 or so, who knows they call themselves "Judges" that do the final decision and thats where I was slighted.

I got buried and I will never forget it. I got a Dmoney Woody Award though and it sit's proudly on my desk, I look at it every day and it keeps me going as a symbol that I was accepted by a few politically but not most or as you put it "Industry" makes the choice. The little Cadre of 6 or so big mouths that believe bullshit and hype which becomes the truth in everyones eyes.

so for everything i do for xbiz and all the support i give to them, why did ragecash not win the up and coming affiliate program award? if it is as you say, shouldn't ragecash have taken that award? do you watch the academy awards or any other awards show? some of the films that win are not the ones i'd vote for, but they are what they are. you can believe what you want mark, all i am saying is that you're puting too much weight on something that for all intents and purposes jsut recognizes hard work. those awards are for recognition. i have no idea why you feel like getting an award would validate you. its not gonna affect your bank account man. your attitude affects your bank account. i wanna see everyone succeed but you really need to put down the issues that "everyones against alien" cuz it just aint true.

you can look at any other awards show and see that some people don't win because of their attitudes. they are the ones that don't give a shit about awards. look at the music industry here in l.a. they aren't out there bitter because they don't win, they could give a lesser shit. you have put yourself into that position, now you gotta work to get out of it man. i'm not pickin on you, but you did make your bed and you've said it yourself before. lets help mark not attack the industry. no one is out to get you man.
