What kind of documentaries and history shows do you guys watch? What's good? I like the ancient and/or religious shows, mysteries, etc.. Almost anything really, but never got much into the WWII stuff or Civil War.

Acient rome, the greeks, the monguls, spartans......hannibal

Pretty much anything that left several hundred thousand or millions of people dead...& happened before 1910.

Everything became mechanized & boring after WW1. Gone were the great masses of soldiers with nothing but a blade...who marched, traveled, or sat at sea for years some times to even reach their battlefield...& fought for the pride of their people.

Generals who would march 500,000 men over a mountain, come out the otherside with 200,000 & still have the respect of their men.

Something about that type of power has always inspired me.

Sarah_Jayne 09-25-2006 01:22 PM

At the moment I am hooked on real cold case type stuff and about forensic teams. In general though I stay away from anything about ghosts, aliens or things that make me want to roll my eyes back into my head.

woj 09-25-2006 01:23 PM

nice find, thanks man :thumbsup

Sarah_Jayne 09-25-2006 01:25 PM

Also Channel 4 in the UK does a number of good series. Check out the Body Shock and Mind Shock series..good stuff.

notabook 09-25-2006 02:07 PM

Yep, don't really care too much about the JFK docs or WW2 docs since those are played just about 24/7 bleh.
