MAC Users - Make yourself useful! :)

Mac users - does this embedded wmv autoplay in Safari? And does it show up just as the 320x240 video without any controls? Thanks in advance!

dunno, I installed www.flip4mac.com which fixes any WMV problems with playing WMV's in a mac browser. if you are a make user you absolutely need to install this (free)

On Firefox on the Mac, I got:

Additional plugins are req'd to display all the media on this page.
Click here to download the plugin.

Clickde to install plugins, it recognised it was WMV plugin, then said "Windows Media 9 Not available: Manual install.
Well, I have WM9 on my m/c so, I gave up.

On Safari, I got an alert box saying:

Safari can't display the content of this page.
Some content on this page requires an Internet plug-in that Safari doesn't support. The application "Window Media Player" may be able to display this content. Would you like to try?

Clicking OK opens up WMPlayer and the content runs. Not inline though.

The only inline media that plays correct on Mac is Real content (and of course .mpg,.mov,.avi (w/ Quicktime codecs).

Yep, it's a great program. I upgraded to the Pro version so I can export WMVs from Final Cut Pro and it's awesome.

Both Safari and Firefox are standard installs :Oh crap

Maybe add some browser checking in your script - if it's mack gecko or safari, add a link to download flip4mac to view the wmv inline :2 cents:
