THE good old U S of A........

why does it feel like not only the whole world is alienated with the USA but also a great majority of the citizens of the USA??? There has been a feeling of the government versus the citizens the last few years..

It's sad to say, but it seems at least from my perspective that the US government is doing something wrong....

anyone else remember this amount of resentment toward the US government in it's history???

also, to those that don't live in the USA.....why do you have a bad view of it's government?

if you want my opinion I think that the USA is putting it's hands into everyone's business including it's citizens, and trying to control/dominate everything...is this due to the current administrations actions or the government as a whole???

anothering thing is that it doesn't feel like 'a government for the people, by the people, and of the people' anymore....

seems like alot of the government and current administration think they are above the law nowadays

What is the difference, tell us.

There is no more resentment against the government than there has been before, you are just more aware of it because of the media. Oh and the rest of the world has hated us for many many years and that will never change as long as we are top dog. Same ole same ole blah.

Too many people seem to forget the United States is not really a true Democracy, it is a Republic. Surely they taught you this in high school?

Exactly. Elected leaders in America no longer look to the people once they are voted in. Instead they are heavily influenced by special interest groups. I don't understand why the media doesn't concentrate on this. In my opinion almost every single member of our government needs to be voted out in a show of non-violent force by the people.

it's sad to see that hardly anyone from the general public runs or even has a chance to win an election to run our government...

i'm no political genius, and don't admit to knowing much about politics, but noticed that the ease of a regular Joe Schmoe to run for an upper government position or even have a chance at winning keeps on getting slimmer...seems like you now have to be part of a family that has a dynasty in politics to have a chance...

ex. the Bush family, Kennedy family, or other well connected families...

and the people that do get elected are only concerned with how politics affect their circle of friends and ties, and not the general American public
just my views....don't know how accurate this is...
