They've got their priorities in order :thumbsup

The best kind of networking is over a drink, not in a conference room :thumbsup

Looks like fun going to try and make this one.

I agree, but seminars are equally as important. Well, it may be just me, but I really enjoy listening to someone that knows what he's saying.

The most memorable one I have is a conference that I heard in an advertising festival in Argentina, where I listened to Gordon Thorr (worldwide head creative for JWT) and his thoughts on copyrighting creativity.

Well, I'm a sucker for conferences where you actually learn a thing or two. :2 cents:

I agree with you, nothing better than a good seminar to learn new stuff!!!
However, each show has different priorities and purpose.
The few seminars we have are to inform people about new horizons of buisness, not really to learn basics of the industry. There are a lot of great shows that have tons of useful seminars from newbies info to more advanced topics.

CRBash '07 is a place where business gets done, where deals are made, where you get the chance to sit and party with company's decision makers. What a lot of people loved at last year's show is that there was no "clicks". Everybody got to know each other and actually become friend at the end of the show. This is, in my opinion, the best atmosphere to REALLY make business. :2 cents:

Well, I think we can all agree that discussing the legal aspects of offshore activity is 'basic' stuff. However, I'm glad everyone is heading there to network and have a blast. I know I'd go, I love the country I grew up in. I haven't been back for over two years.

Anyway, a heads up to all of the people attending: Make sure you visit Wishbone. It's a restaurant on the main street and they make killer calzones.

If you're into surfing or bodyboarding, contact me and I'll try to get you in to the best waves in the area (it's on a private beach).
