4 door Porsche....not looking too good

MaDalton 09-22-2006 11:15 AM

hmm.. could be anything from a Ferrari over Maserati up to a BMW M6. i guess i-'ll wait for some better pics. altough - it has a little bit from the 997 at the front and at the back. and a little CGT too. we'll see. but i'm sure it will sell - too many enthousiasts that drive a Audi, BMW or Mercedes now cause they got family.

mike217 09-22-2006 11:32 AM

Hmm, I'll have to wait for more pics, but so far it is a little disapointing to me for a Porsche. Maybe once it's done I'll like it more.

squishypimp 09-22-2006 11:33 AM

errrr...not the nicest looking thing.

I find it a little disappointing that they continue to dilute the marque.I realize it's business, but this having to be everything for everyone mentality is getting old.

KingK7 09-22-2006 11:39 AM

Damn that is weak...

bdld 09-22-2006 11:51 AM

true - on the other hand they are the most profitable car manufacturer, still one of the only independent and just bought 24% of Volkswagen. Something they must be doing right. :winkwink:

RAM 09-22-2006 11:58 AM

No doubt about that. From a business perspective they are doing a fabulous job with the company.I could be disappointed about BMW and Mercedes too. They are all making entirely too many models now.

I wasn't a huge fan of the 996's,but they actually listened to their customers and brought back a lot of 993 styling in the new 997's.I like the Cayman a lot too.For the buck,I don't think there is a better sportscar on the market.

I am only hoping that next we don't see some entry level econo-box Porsche for the masses.

I hope you're right. And if it looks like the pictures you posted,it will be worthy of the Porsche name.

actually they already built engines for SEAT and some korean or chinese manufacturer
:winkwink:

but i don't think they will go smaller than the Cayman. which is already quite small btw - i sit way better in my 968 than in the Cayman or Boxster.

As long as there is something special about owning a Porsche. That's all I really care about.
This E55 I just got.I love the car.Probably the best daily driver I've ever had.
But just the other day, there was another one following me.Two girls were in it.All I could think, that's amazing that a young girl could swing 100g for a car.
When the road finally turned to 4 lane, they passed me and it was an E230.
It looks identical to the E55 for less than 1/3 the price.I think that's a mistake Mercedes is making. It's impossible to tell them apart any more.

Not my cup of tea.

gangbangjoe 09-22-2006 01:10 PM

hahahahaha@ all of you judging an upcoming car from these spy pics.

the reason why they cover their cars with huge pieces of plastic and other crap is that other companies won't copy/reproduce

it will be a burner like the cayenne was/is

ignore haters

PaulB IYP 09-22-2006 01:11 PM
