the little kunt that owns http://www.trouserstew.com has fuskered about $90 so far, I'll deal with him later, but right I want to stop him:

I uploaded this htaccess to my root directory but it doesn't work:

That limits based on the hostname of the client, not referrer. :2 cents:

it doesn't work either, I'm thinking htaccess doesn't work at all??? tried to contact the host - no reply so far

They have cool little tools on this site - if this isnt the one you want have a look on the left menu - there are a couple that could work.

check your AllowOverride statement in the httpd.conf
if that's wrong .htaccess gets ignored

remember, your domain goes where it says your-domain.com/

save as .htaccess and upload in ascii if your still having trouble

yup, uploaded this one and it works 100%, I know about the ACSI mode
