our boy dog was so bad that we had his anal glands removed. Cost us $700 but it was very worth it. We were taking him to the vet to get them squeezed at least twice a month. the girl is not as bad. Love to help ma'am, but that's what Donny is for, and besides, I charge a lot for 4-hour round trip house calls.

On a more serious note, dealing with messy problems - be they with loved ones or pets, teaches you something about yourself. When you've had to care for someone who is severely ill, you find that you can do things which normally would totally gross you out even thinking about.
