The only chilean wine I've had tasted like dirt. (no offence, could have been a bad wine)
but I'm just not ready to embrace our wine making friends south of the border. its an unusual climate for wine I think.

Serge is over on you-know-who's new board playing you-know-who for a sucker.

Ron, I never see you (or Serge for that matter) discussing chardonnay.

Is it considered a less masculine variety? :D

Klen 09-22-2006 07:13 AM

CDSmith 09-22-2006 01:07 PM

So chardonnay is gay.

Hmm.... I guess I'll stick with the rieslings, and that pinot I've been wanting to try.

What about merlot? Is that word taboo? lol

I had me a bottle of merlot with a nice steak & lobster dinner last year. Christ that shit got me drunk.

I actually had a great merlot about two weeks ago. I don't generally drink it but this one was good.

CDSmith 09-22-2006 04:59 PM

Yeah, this one was a heady red, fruity but not cloying, with a woody finish. Knocked me for a loop.

:D

California turns out some good ones too.

Brujah 09-22-2006 05:02 PM

is Wine Talk ok to mention here? Serge (i think it was Serge) came up with a great simple tasting scale.

CDSmith 09-22-2006 05:06 PM

I gotta get back to wine talk.... I lost touch with a lot of boards when my old hd died in the summer.

I bet Serge has been wondering where I've been. :upsidedow
