Hi, header says it all...please help :) so far I had no luck when I tried to make a print screen of stopped video in windows media player ..:(

Turn off video acceleration in media player and try again.

Tools, options, performance, video acceleration.

Urbi 09-21-2006 12:23 PM

ASM : bad idea, will capture but in horrible quality :(

Shouldn't... set video size to 100... play the highest rez version you have... and don't try to fuck with the screen size rez once the print screen is taken...

De-Interlace is a basic feature in Photoshop for already captured images. I know that doesn't answer you original question on capturing, but it's the FIRST step you should use after capture.

It greatly reduces jagged edges.

I capture with Final Cut Express HD or iMovie HD (mac)

Vlc media player for just manual shots, and video charge for segmented video and screenshot.

donross 09-22-2006 01:08 AM

get frameshots

MyWifeJen 09-22-2006 04:56 AM

Check out Topaz Moment from Topazlabs.com. We recently started using it and it has some really nice features. They also have a fully functioning trial to check it out.

Hugs,
Jen

Videocharge is ok...

If only Sony updated smart capture and made it a stand alone software they would have a winner

it was on Sony VAIO's a few years back but not so hot now

Get a Mac.

Then use Grab. Screenshots/Selected Area screengrabs/Time grabs blah blah. So simple.
