How long do dating site members recur?

How long does the recurring last for dating sites?
What are your conversion ratios?

Finally spam me with sponsors! :thumbsup

fallenmuffin 09-21-2006 07:31 AM

What sponsors say and what affiliates see are not always the same. Still that's interesting.
Thanks! :thumbsup

Dildozer 09-21-2006 07:38 AM

Shit i can't find anywhere what iwantu pays, i mean 70% of free kinda sucks...

Edit: NM got it

Gooddomains is fairly close to the mark. Member retention though can rely on many dynamics and quality dating websites with good marketing dynamics can retain members for many many months :thumbsup. Dating companies that have many bogus members and/or photos that are not of actual members can/may show very short membership times.

ffmihai 09-21-2006 07:50 AM

remember some people buy yearly membership so it must be longer than affew months

chowda 09-21-2006 07:55 AM

it says recurr. 4-7 months eh? wow. i would love that

detoxed 09-21-2006 09:15 AM

It depends, to hit long recurring, you gotta be around 5 years and have a long history to "average" over a certain #. I dont think 4-7 months average is bad long term. Depends on a thousand things though, price, site design, etc most of your sites I would not expect this

Dildozer 09-21-2006 09:34 AM

how many members do you need to hit in order to get a good average?

Dragar 09-21-2006 09:35 AM

I don't know

Are you fucking retarded? Did you read the thread title? How about you turn off your computer, you're gonna be late for your McShift and anyway your mom doesn't want you on the computer all day long.

Check out Datinggold, see sig or contact me on ICQ if you have any questions.

squishypimp 09-21-2006 09:48 AM

depends on the site, normally 1-4 months i think is the average.

Varius 09-21-2006 11:51 AM

I'd say 4-7 months is very very good for current times...there are so many sites now and people don't stick around as long as they used to back in the 90s :disgust

Really depends how much community-oriented stuff your site has to keep people coming back...you can expect sites that only try for the quick conversions but have nothing sticky after the member pays to not retain very long at all....another clue could be sites who don't offer a Revshare plan :upsidedow

Edit: yes forgot to say, our IwantU.com retention is currently 3-4 months indeed...however we are increasing it bit by bit every week :)

Recurring time is about 5-6 months at the moment.

GeorgeM 09-21-2006 12:36 PM

you will have to want about 5-6 months

TampaToker 09-21-2006 12:52 PM

I havent sent traffic to AFF in 16 months now and i still get checks :thumbsup

rodney25 09-21-2006 05:17 PM

It usually varies, though I know some which has 3-4 months recurring period.

shynfine 09-21-2006 05:37 PM

those sites are great to spam.

madawgz 09-21-2006 05:44 PM

for me its about 1 year, i have special members :winkwink:

Choppa 09-21-2006 05:56 PM

Dildozer, always pay to do some research into things and the recurring question is a very good one. Sexyads is one of the oldest dating internet sites around and has been online since 1997. You will find more information in my sig if you click on the picture.
