For content areas, what layout works best for keeping members longer?

Clean and easy to navigate... But the most perfect layout in the world will get you nowhere unless you have enough content and updates to keep them busy every day.

Truth be told most members will only stay for so long.. Doesnt matter how much shit you got crammed into your members area. The money with recurring is with the members who forget to cancel and the very few that stay because they like your site. Of course you wont get them past a trail if your members area sucks shit. A nice layout with quailty videos and you'll keep the good members around for a few months.
